Grade 1's are invited to wear their pyjamas ALL DAY on Friday! We have discussed smart choices such as not wearing shorts and tank tops because it's still winter out there! Feel free to send in some comfy slippers or a house coat to stay warm. Of course if your child does not want to wear pyjamas that is alright too!
It was a busy week this week and I'm expecting next week to be the same. We did walk to the post office on Thursday. We were able to talk a little bit about how mail is sent/received. We looked at different mail boxes and also stopped outside the RCMP building. This morning we had Mr. Bonnett, our mayor, stop in and say hi. We were able to ask him some questions we had about how our community is run. Also this morning we went over to the Youth Centre as a reward for filling our sound jar. There were a lot of smiles after our visit! Please check out the media release on our website and Wolf Creek's website regarding the child luring incident. There was an arrest made in regards to the event. Here are the last 3 of the Santa letters. Due to changes in the privacy act we were unable to mail have return letters sent to children's homes. Return letters will be sent to the school. Christmas is approaching very quickly. Today we spent some time with our Reading Buddies to do a fun holiday craft. We made winter cards to give to our family members. They turned out awfully cute! Here are some pictures from today: RCMP has released a sketch of the suspected individual in the attempted child abduction case. It has been posted on Wolf Creek sites. I hope that everyone has had a chance to read the media release from Wolf Creek regarding the child luring incident that happened on Thursday. Emotions were running extremely high today. As a collective staff we were concerned about the safety of ALL of our students. Rest assured your child's safety is our utmost concern. As noted in the release there will be extra measures taking place to ensure safety. If you have any questions or concerns please don't hesitate to talk to myself or Lois Spate. Thank you. I did print a copy of the December Newsletter and sent them home in agendas today. There was some important information that I wanted everyone to see. Keep your eyes peeled for that! In case you missed it in agendas: Christmas Concert is Dec. 18th. Grades 1, 3 and 5 will perform from 12:15pm- 1:15pm. Hope to see you there! |
